Unemployment: Where you may be heading if you don’t get help now for alcohol addiction.

The Alcohol Addiction Recovery Dallas program can create a new positive and healthy direction.

If the past is an indication of the future then a percentage of the individuals that enter the treatments centers are likely to be low income earners, be homeless, having martial issues and on medication.

That is according to the 2004 Substance Abuse Trends (for Adults and Youth) study based on 15,862 Texas admissions to alcohol treatment facilities funded by TCADA.* The 2011 study supports that trend.

Now what I want to point out is that the probably didn’t start off this way.   Maybe they were employed and earning well and in a good marriage, but the alcohol became a problem in an attempt to deal with the issues.

Here are the stats:

  • Of the 15,862 entering the public funded treatment programs in 2003 (report published in 2004):
  • 26.1% of them were employed,
  • 49.7% report employment problems,
  • average education was 11.8 years,
  • 14.3% were homeless,
  • average income was $6,993 (PER YEAR),
  • average age 37.2 years,
  • first use was approx. age 15,
  • 70% were male,
  • 23.7% were on other medications,
  • almost 40% had been to the emergency room,
  • and almost 50% had marital problems.

Hypnosis is a viable tool for offering these individuals a non medical and non 12 step approach to being in control of their drinking by dissolving the triggers and creating a subconscious idea or image of themselves as a person that prefers water or another healthy beverage.

Behavior change is the key in the hypnosis weight loss and hypnosis smoking cessation programs and many of the same effective tools and techniques are applied to the alcohol dependency program for people who may feel the alcohol intake has become a problem for them.  If you are not sure, give us a call.
