Nutrition, Alcoholism and Hypnosis

Are you drinking alcohol in an attempt to curb your hunger?

Nutrition, alcoholism and hypnosis: hypnosis naturally brings you back into balance so you can feed your body what it really needs.

Drinking to curb hunger seems like an irrational idea. And it is, but it is an acceptable subconscious idea. The subconscious is set up to  seek sugar when the body needs a boost.  So when adults are not eating properly the body knows it can get a sugar lift from alcohol. Then the process becomes a chemical response.

One way to cut back on the amount of alcohol you drink would be to address the areas that are out of balance.

At The Flow Center, we examine these areas of one’s life:

Today we are focusing on  HYDRATION AND NUTRITION

Sleep
Hydration
Nutrition
Exercise
Stress Management
Self Acceptance
Fun, Joy, Pleasure
Emotional Well Being

We work with a nutrition specialist to create the best program for you.

However some broad and general advice is to eat  3 small meals and 2 small snacks per day.  This eating program keeps you at a stable blood sugar level so you eliminate cravings.

Try this: when it is your normal time to have an alcoholic beverage, try drinking a tall glass of room temp water and/or eating some protein.  Do this for a week and notice it things are worse, the same or better.

In addition to eating 3 small meals and 2 snacks each day is drinking more water.  We only suggest drinking more because we can only assume you may not be drinking enough. The body is thirsty so you have a beer or mixed drink, when it really wants water.

How much water is enough?

Some suggest taking your weight and dividing by two.  This answer would be the number of ounces of water per day.  Example- If you weight 180 lbs, that is 90 ounces of water per day.

Creating a new water and food program, hypnosis sessions to dissolve triggers and to manage stressful life situations along with an integrated medical approach is proving helpful for many of our clients in stopping their dependency on alcohol.

We offer a complimentary consultation. Phone answered 7 days a week, office hours Monday – Thursday 10 am to 7 pm.
