There are many misconceptions about NA from facilities or associations offering clinical methods of treatment as NA is not regulated approach.  My thought is that talking to a lamppost about your problems would be better than nothing at all and NA offers support and a community that could be enough to raise the users consciousness to take another step. It is much more than a lamppost and additionally so are you. Do you have a friend that you suspect may have an addiction to pain killers?  Offer your ear.
